Jefferson County Records Contacts

Jefferson County Busted Mugshots is a private reference, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, pull an official booking record, or supply a booking photograph. Contact the agency that created or maintains the record.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office operates the detention center and publishes the county's main law-enforcement contacts. The Records Division identifies inmate records among its responsibilities. Use the jail line for a present-tense custody question and Records for an existing booking record or photograph.

The jail operates around the clock, but that does not mean the Records Division or a public lobby offers every service at every hour. Call before traveling. For a written request, use the county's Sheriff open-records instructions and ask for an estimate when the request may require search, redaction, or copying.

Where to Look for Each Record

Start with the record type, not the word “mugshot.” A booking file, a city arrest report, a court disposition, and a state offender profile answer different questions.

  • Current Jefferson County custody: call the Jefferson County Jail at 478-625-7077. There is no verified public county roster or daily booking feed.
  • Past or current booking record: contact JCSO Records at 478-625-7538 and submit a narrow written request. Request the original photo separately and include the truthful Georgia statutory affirmation when applicable.
  • Louisville arrest report: contact Louisville Police Department, 1011 Peachtree Street, Louisville, GA 30434, 478-625-8897. Its page does not publish a dedicated records form, fee, or local turnaround.
  • Wrens arrest report: contact Wrens Police Department through 706-547-3232 or wpdassistant@outlook.com. The city site has no verified blotter or dedicated police-record request procedure.
  • Wadley police or accident report: call Wadley Police Department at 478-252-9401. Involved parties may arrange pickup or email after identifier confirmation.
  • Wadley nonparty or body-camera request: use the City Open Records form and send it to City Clerk Rita Hilton at cityclerk@wadleyga.gov or P.O. Box 219, Wadley, GA 30477.
  • Court case and disposition: contact the Jefferson County Clerk of Superior Court, 202 E. Broad Street, Louisville, GA 30434, 478-625-7922. The clerk lists public research hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays.

State, Federal, and Alert Sources

A person sentenced into Georgia corrections belongs in the Georgia Department of Corrections offender search, not a county recent-arrest list. GDC profiles may include photos, but many images are unavailable. GDC's separate open-records portal handles requests for state-held records.

  • Georgia VINELink provides custody notifications where the person and facility are covered. It is not a photo source or court disposition.
  • The Georgia Office of Victim Services V.I.P. system handles post-sentence GDC and parole notifications using a case number or GDC ID.
  • BOP Inmate Locator covers federal sentenced custody and has no public booking-photo field.
  • ICE Online Detainee Locator covers eligible immigration custody with its own identifier rules and omissions.

For a federal pretrial case, PACER or the federal court is more appropriate than BOP. No local federal-detainee contract or immigration agreement was verified in the county research.
